Important information & instructions for players regarding the HKO migration and Sanrio Cash Points balance

On April 7th, 2010, Hello Kitty Online Europe servers have been taken down in order to begin the transition to Sanrio Digital (to read about the transition, click here. All in-game data will be migrated and players will be able to enjoy the game as usual from April 21st, 2010 onwards.

The game will be back in service on April 21, 2010. Once the game is back up, the Item Mall will not be accessible until May 5th, 2010 as the game goes through an Open Beta phase. All in-game character data will be migrated and players will be able to enjoy the game as usual.

To prepare for the transition, on March 25th the top-up function has been deactivated and you will no longer be able to buy Cash Points. All European players with a positive Sanrio Cash Point balance will receive an email notifying them of the following options:  
  1. You can continue to spend your Sanrio Cash Points and Loyalty Points in the DreamShop HKO item mall until the item mall is taken offline on April 7th, 2010. You will not lose any of the items you purchase during this time, as they will be transferred along with your character when HKO reopens.
  2. You can give your permission by email to authorize Burda:ic to transfer your remaining Cash Points balance as of April 7th to Sanrio Digital so you can spend it when the item mall reopens.
  3. You can request a reimbursement of your cash points balance, in the form of a money transfer to your bank account (this will require your bank details).

If Burda:ic will not hear back from you by April 7th, your balance will be held for you and Burda:ic will wait for your further instructions with regards to your bank account details for the money transfer. The required details will also be explained in the afore-mentioned email.
